June 7th Meeting
Good morning to all brother and sister Gettysburg Optimists!
We have an exciting and eventful meeting planned for next Wednesday, June 7th, 6PM social, 6:30 dinner provided by Stacey Green and staff, located at the Lake Heritage pavilion.
Keep on asking family, friends, and anyone who has a passion for helping youth to join us at this “Prospective Members” meeting. We have a great meeting planned to show some of what we are about as a service club.
First we have approximately a dozen “Reading Is Fundamental” representatives from various Gettysburg Area Schools joining us for the evening and will receive ($6,400.00) to purchase reading books for students.
Second we have a representative from “Ruth’s Harvest” with us and will receive ($1,000.00) to help in the purchasing of food for packing lunches that children from low income families have to take home after school.
What a way to kick off our summer meeting schedule. So plan on attending and invite a friend to our June 7th Optimist Meeting and gain an appreciation for what our fundraisers do in supporting the youth of our community.
